About

Dr. Burjor Hormusji Antia has been associated with the firm since 1962. He was on the Board of Directors of several listed Companies of India/corporate entities and is also a Trustee of several public charitable Trusts.

He is a member of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society and the Bombay Bar Association. He is an Ex-Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Sakura Bank and a Member on the Board of Bank of Tokyo. He was also appointed by the Reserve Bank of India as a member on the Committee for large value bank frauds and a Report along with a draft Bill to prevent Bank frauds was submitted by him to the Government of India for their necessary action. On invitation of Center for International Legal Studies, Vienna, he wrote thesis on “Indian Banking System” and submitted the same to them. In recognition of and in appreciation for his contribution to the scholarly activities and publications, the Center for International Legal Studies, Vienna, has accorded an Honorary Membership in the Association of the Fellow & Legal Scholar of The Center for International Legal Studies. He revises his thesis every year in light of the changes made in the Banking Laws by Reserve Bank of India or Central Budget of the Government of India or by any Judgments of the Hon’ble Courts.

He is Specialized in Banking, Commercial, Conveyancing, Testamentary, Trust, Real Estate and Arbitration laws. Attends to legal matters of several well-known Companies in India & dealing with Banking, Shipping and Corporate laws.
